Margin comparison
Every odd contains a commission nobody displays. From one operator to another, on the same match, it commonly varies twofold. Here is the ranking, recalculated live on upcoming fixtures.

Average margin of each operator licensed in France, calculated on the last 1X2 odds recorded before kick-off of every football match of the month. 192 matches recorded as of 18 October.

No estimates, no ranking borrowed from elsewhere. For every upcoming match shown on the site we record the 1X2 odds of all available operators, then apply the same calculation to each:
margin = (1 ÷ win odd) + (1 ÷ draw odd) + (1 ÷ loss odd) − 1
The average of those readings gives the main column; the number of matches on which the operator was observed appears just below. An operator seen on fewer than three matches does not appear: the sample would be too thin to mean anything.
A two-point margin difference looks trivial. It is not, because it is taken on every bet, winning or losing.
| Margin | On 100 bets of €10 | Annual cost* |
|---|---|---|
| 2,5 % | −25 € | −130 € |
| 5 % | −50 € | −260 € |
| 7,5 % | −75 € | −390 € |
* for a bettor placing 10 bets of €10 a week. This is the structural cost : what the margin takes before anyone knows whether the picks were good.
Put another way: moving from an operator at 7.5% to one at 2.5% makes no pick better, but mechanically saves the same bettor €260 a year. It is the only parameter of the game you fully control and that is known in advance.
Almost every tipster site is paid by bookmakers, per click or per deposit, through affiliate links. The “comparison” they publish therefore ranks operators by commission paid, not by benefit to the bettor.
Publishing which operator takes the most would mean, for them, exposing those who fund them. MARGE accepts no payment from operators — on this page you will find no sign-up button, no promo code, no “welcome offer”. That is precisely what makes this ranking publishable.
Every match analysis shows the margin taken on that specific fixture, next to the corrected probability. Our past results are published, losing periods included.
